I work at a fabulous school for students with intellectual and physical disabilities. We had a metal swing student in wheelchairs could go on for several years. We worried about the potential danger this swing could have with our fast ambulatory students who were not aware of their surroundings. The summer of 2018 our school purchases 2 of Chad's beautiful swings. We put one with the full shade outside and one with the beautiful wooden pergola in our Sensory Courtyard. These swings allow our students to swing TOGETHER whether you walk or wheel around :-) Couldn't be happier!

Yes, the swing is a big hit with our clients.  As you know many of them cannot enjoy the simple pleasures we take for granted.  Many cannot walk, talk clearly, and have very limited or spastic movement. To be able to feel the gentle movement of the swing without having to be transferred from their wheelchair, is pure delight that can be seen on their faces with smiles and quiet giggles.  

 

When I give tours, it is always a must to show off your swing. 

(Exciting news! This reviewer has since purchased a THIRD SWING!  They always had people waiting, so they put a swing on each side of the facility!)

Our son Alex is 24 years old now and has been using the swing since he was 18.  In the summer, Alex goes out on his swing almost every day.  He always has a big smile on his face while swinging!  Alex loves motion and movement and the swing is one of the few ways that he can experience this.  The swing has required very little maintenance.

We installed the swing on Monday the 29th of August and things could not have gone more smoothly.  I and another maintenance employee spent about two hours, your instructions and measurements were spot on and every piece of material went together perfectly.  I was impressed with you craftsmanship and attention to detail and it amazes me that something built on the west coast could be assembled in our backyard without a single problem.   I have attached a couple of pictures of the finished install and hope to take a video of some of our individuals enjoying the swing.  I will be in touch with you in the future as we are considering a swing and pergola for the playground at our special needs school.  Feel free to use me as a reference of a satisfied customer I could not be more pleased.

I can say 1st hand how wonderful this wheelchair swing with the added 2 seats are, the residents at Zearing Health Care Center LOVE it!!!  We have some new residents who have braved the cool weather this March to try it out, they thought it was the best idea by far & how much fun it is.  Our other residents had so much fun last fall using it they can't wait for warmer weather to get out there & swing!  The swing was in memory of my Dad, he was a carpenter so I know he would have approved of something this special for not only the residents but for also for his grandson Chris, who is a special needs young man who lives here & who's favorite pastime is being outside swinging.  This is a must for other nursing facilities!!   It also helps promotes balance coordination...we are never to old to swing!!        (A Swing for Smiles)-- because it brings out so many smiles when swinging on it & it's a beautiful piece of "outdoor furniture "  Well done Chad & employees 👍👍👍😍😍😍
